Wayward Souls (formerly known as Wayward Saga) is a permadeath action-adventure game developed by Rocketcat Games and released by them in April 2014 for iOS, Android and soon to PC as Wayward Souls: Curse of Shadow.

About the Game

Wayward Souls is an action-adventure game built for quick playthroughs and massive amounts of replay value. It was inspired by Spelunky, Secret of Mana, and RocketCat's previous game, Mage Gauntlet.

Procedurally generated random levels mean that every time you play the game, it will be a different experience. You can control one of six characters, all with their own unique playstyles, abilities, and equipment.

Story

The story of Wayward Souls is told in various methods. Each character has a unique story told through storyboard cutscenes and playable events during gameplay. There are countless events involving ghost dialogue and notes from long deceased individuals elaborating on the tower's mysterious past.

Classes

There are several classes that are available to the player whenever in game, each with different abilities and dialogue. The current classes are;

Cultist
Mage
Rogue
Adventurer
Spellsword
