As you collect gold in your runs through dungeons, you will be able to use your new currency to purchase permanent upgrades for each character. Each character has seven upgradable passive skills, and one "Gift" upgrade that bestows a bonus to all classes permanently. The seven normal upgrades each have five purchaseable levels, while the Gift is a single expensive unlock.

Potent Imbiber- Deal more damage after being struck. (+5 damage)

Disciplined Breath- Faster energy regeneration. (+20% recovery)

Fenn Ferocity- Raises your chance of doing double damage with melee attacks. (+5% critical chance bonus)

Ax-cavenger- Grants bonus thrrowing axe drops from enemies. (+20% chance)

Walk It Off- Recover more health when entering the next floor. (+5 health)

Shieldbearer- Bestows a chance of shields not consuming a charge when used. (30% chance)

Iron Flesh- Inreases your maximum health. (+5 max health)

Gift of the Stalwart- All classes deal more damage after being struck. (+5 damage)

Arcane Inspiration- Faster energy regeneration. (+25% recovery)

Waste Not, Want Not- Bestows a chance of conserving a robe or tome charge. (15% chance of conservation)

Fledgling Wizard- Using a robe charge refunds some energy. (30% energy returned)

Practiced Channeler- Raises your chance to do double damage with your staff spells. (+5% critical chance bonus)

Book Smarts- Using a tome charge refunds some energy. (30% energy returned)

Stubborn Blood- Recover more health when entering the next floor. (+5 health)

Fake Out- Your first dash through an enemy confuses it. (1.0 seconds of confusion)

Dagger Toes- Increases your damage done by kicks. (+5 points of bonus damage)

Keen Survivor- Recover more health when entering the next floor. (+5 health)

High Stakes- Raises your chance of doing double damage with melee attacks. (+10% critical chance bonus)

Low Blow- Extends stun duration. (30% bonus stun duration)

Varoisian Moxie- Increases your maximum health. (5 extra health)

Gift of the Savvy- All classes use less energy for attacks and abilities. (-5% energy cost)

Pathfinder- Recover more health when entering the next floor. (+7 health)

Deft Scrounger- Defeated enemies will drop more amulet spell charges. (15% more likely)

Guided by Purpose- Increases your maximum health. (+5 max health)

Frugal Provisioner- Gives a chance of conserving lantern, shield, or boot charges. (10% chance of conservation)

Second Wind- Faster energy regeneration. (+15% energy recovery)

Adept Artificer- Bestows a chance of not using an amulet charge. (10% chance of saving a charge)

Flaw Finder- Raises your chance of doing double damage with melee attacks. (+5% critical chance bonus)

Gift of the Seeker- All classes recover more health when going to the next level. (2 bonus health)

Desert Heart- Increases your maximum health. (+5 max health)

Worldly Traveler- Recover more health when entering the next floor. (+5 health)

Battle Fervor- Raises your chance of doing double damage with melee attacks. (+5% critical chance bonus)

Scorched Earth- Extends the radius of all offensive spells from scrolls. (25% larger radius)
